‘Bliss’ is the up-beat new single by Alli Butler, produced by Stuart Stuart who brought us Sheppard’s Geronimo.
It’s a lively number featuring Butler’s melodic vocals, which traverse country, rock, folk and pop. Butler’s driving rhythm guitar is supported by inspired backup vocal lines, and discrete but infectious riffs.
With a modern day Fleetwood Mac feel, ‘Bliss’ tells the story of a girl who receives a hand-written letter from her lover rather than a digital emoji love heart.
‘I wrote this song when I was thinking how nobody hand-writes letters anymore. Even if someone’s professing their love for you, it’s all emails, texts and DM’s’. Alli Butler
This well-crafted song with its optimistic lyrics, pulsing rhythm and great production tells of a love between two people, which cannot be destroyed by anyone or anything.
Alli has created an official video clip for ‘Bliss’, filming it in country WA. Alli has found living in a small community means people willingly help out. Max the butcher offered up his moped for the morning and she even got the cricket groundsman to lend her his pitch roller – which she drove at a furious pace of 1.5 kms/hr. The good news is… no-one got killed!
