BUNNY RACKET RELEASES DIGITAL LP, ROCK’N’ROLL ANIMALS + TWO NEW VIDEO CLIPS FOR ROCKING OUT AT HOME

Everyone’s favourite rock’n’roll rabbit, King Bunny, is stoked to announce the digital release of his band BUNNY RACKET’s popular LP, Rock’n’Roll Animals today! This comes alongside two brand new music videos available on YouTube so parents can get down with their mini rockers at home.

Rock’n’Roll Animals was created a couple of years back in a burrow in the southern Californian desert and features the work of some pedigree rock rabbits such as Brant Bjork (Kyuss, Fumanchu) taking on drums and backing vocals, Robby Krieger of The Doors joining the studio line-up as lead guitarist and Sam Cutler, legendary tour manager for The Rolling Stones and Grateful Dead, adding spoken word. It’s the ultimate rock’n’roll starter record!

Originally released via 500 vinyl copies, today marks the first time Rock’n’Roll Animals is available in any other form. Featuring classics like ‘A Chicken Is Not A Fruit’ and ‘Never Shake A Rattlesnake’, the digital album means more families can enjoy the raucous sounds of King Bunny and his gang of fluffy punk rock friends.

The release is accompanied by two new music videos for ‘Never Shake a Rattlesnake’ and ‘Dogs In The Street’ available free to air via YouTube. The videos follow the adventures of King Bunny – as he shares his passion for playing rock’n’roll far and wide. Perfect for getting the whole family moving whilst staying at home! Check them out here

Formed in 2016 by lead singer and honourable chief lagomorph, Andy Walker AKA King Bunny, Bunny Racket is the noisy junction between Black Sabbath and Sesame Street with a live lineup featuring members of The Vines/Wolfmother and Goons of Doom.

This wrack of rabbits brings a fusion of punk rock do-it-yourself ethic with a tickle of youthful exuberance. Simple and catchy with some serious hip-shaking riffs, Bunny Racket’s music strikes a (loud) chord for all of us that pine for a time where being a kid meant endless freedom. It is a dynamic which captivates the younger and older generations alike. A mix of song writing that makes the kids get up and bounce paired with guitar solos that prick up older ears. It’s on for young and old.

Rock’n’Roll Animals is now available on Spotify with all other streaming platforms to follow in the coming days.

Lately, Bunny Racket have been busy touring their unique brand of all
age inclusive music. Getting audiences shaking, rattling, shouting and jumping to their indefatigable rock’n’roll. Playing anything from daycare centres, to dive bars, to festival main stages in Australia and abroad.

With no more shows booked for the foreseeable future and the shutdown of live events amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Bunny Racket, is planning a live stream gig so keep an eye on their socials. King Bunny is also reminding us all to wash those paws properly with the creation of this 20 second tune.

Australia’s music industry has taken a huge blow in the last couple of weeks with music workers and artist crew losing their incomes and facing a very uncertain future. All profits from the sale of Bunny Racket merch will be donated to Sound of Silence, a Support Act initiative to support the music industry in these times. You can shop the merch here.

Stay safe, stay in and rock on!
