END OF FASHION ANNOUNCE ‘BREAKTHRU’ SINGLE LAUNCH AT BADLANDS AUGUST 29!

Maria Porter Photography

End Of Fashion had skyrocketed to stardom back in 2005 after releasing their gold- certified debut album, playing shows and festivals around the world with music’s greats…only to have all that disappear by their last album’s release in 2012. The band has certainly been through the highs and the lows of the industry but now they’re ready to take on the world yet again, stronger than ever before!

“There’s so much going on and I’m so excited by everything. It’s been a long time coming; some of these songs have been in my pocket for a handful of years now.” Justin Burford

The band is sounding better than ever, both live and in studio with its now permanent line-up consisting of front man, Justin Burford, guitarist Julian Dudman (The Sleepy Jackson) drummer Nathan Sproule (Southern River Band). These talented musos make for a force to be reckoned with and one hell of a live act! End of Fashion will be hitting the stage again in Perth on August 29 at Badlands Bar – DON’T MISS THIS ‘BREAKTHRU’ SINGLE LAUNCH!!

End Of Fashion are officially back and mean business with their new single titled ‘BreakThru’, an epic 70’s dark fantasy-feel anthem with elements inspired by bands like Queen, the WHO and Dust. This single follows the band’s debut album sound and works around the classic ‘O Yeah’, ‘The Game’ & ‘Fussy’ feel that the band’s fans know and love.

From mid last year through to the start of this year saw the band testing out new music and playing a range of shows from their first Vinyl Launch in November to headlining the Highway To Hell in March. It’s been a pleasant surprise seeing not only the band’s original fans but new ones popping up at shows too!

End Of Fashion didn’t want their single launch to just be a regular, two/three band lineup and then go home kinda night. No. The ‘BreakThru’ single launch will be an event! Not only will they be breaking in a new single (mind the pun), but they will also be celebrating the incredible career of End Of Fashion, helping them do this will be a set from local legends MOANA and plenty of Sugar Blue Burlesque throughout the night!

End Of Fashion hopes to make the comeback of the century with their new songs really taking inspiration from their peak (2005) musical roots! You’ll be wanting to keep an eye on this band, there’s lots in store for fans of End Of Fashion coming very soon!

Flashback to Exclusive Chat with Around The Sound

It was the mid-2000s when End of Fashion released their smash hit O Yeah, which spread across the country like wildfire and catapulted the Perth outfit to national success.

“We blew up pretty big, and for a time there we were one of the ‘players’, one of the ones to watch,” Burford says. “It’s taken some time for me to sort of rediscover what End of Fashion actually means to me <…> I have no guilt anymore for being a pop-song writer and wanting to perform and that is who I am and that’s the kind of music I like to make under the End of Fashion brand <…> That is what draws people to this band; that knowledge that you’re going to come to a show, there’s going to be energy, you’re going to be able to sing along, it’s going to be fun, it’s entertaining <…> For a long time I ‘turtled’ back into my shell a little bit … now, I’m like ‘stuff it, I like that, I like doing that <…> And people like it, so why do I listen to a loud minority?” – Haters left in the dust as End of Fashion comes full circle., 2019
