Fairbridge Festival

We're very excited to announce an appetite-whetting sample of our super list of 2019 Fairbridge Festival acts. What can you expect? With a bit of a focus on Americana, which includes a stunning Celtic-bluegrass crossover band, we have some of the UK's and USA's most searingly hot and entertaining acoustic players.

There's a sweet Mediterranean breeze wafting through to cool it all down with an Italian icon of world music, a much-loved Australian-Italian folk singer and a joyous band of gentleman musicians who play gorgeous European folk music.

Throw in a couple of return visits by some of the festival's most adored acts, some Kimberley rock stars and a quirky aviator/inventor/adventurer musician wandering the streets, and you have one heck of an Autumn program brewing under the trees and stars at Fairbridge Festival.

This is just a wee sneak peek, so stay glued for more exciting announcements coming your way soon. *Drum roll please*

Flats and Sharps (UK)
Riccardo Tesi & Banditaliana (IT)
Darol Anger's Republic of Strings (USA)

Fairbridge Festival Quest
Youth Songwriting Workshops
To support budding young songwriters and prospective Act-Belong-Commit Fairbridge Festival Quest entrants, join in this four-hour songwriting workshop facilitated by award-winning songwriters, David Hyams and Alex Turner.

We'll be looking at how to get started, some writing methods and techniques used by professional songwriters, what makes a good song and how to perform it. Designed for high school ages, from absolute beginners or emerging artists, we'll provide tips on what audiences and song competition judges look for, and how to present songs to both audiences.

Please note, competition entry is not mandatory for workshop attendees, they are an opportunity for all to learn in a safe and welcoming environment. If you have one, bring an instrument!
