The Sewing Room was almost legend before it even opened its doors as a live music venue late 2017. Somehow, the location, the trickle of news about the fit out, the epic amount of time it took to get the necessary tick of approval to operate as a live music venue, built this bubble of anticipation. And, then, BOOM! Perth was gifted this nifty 300+ capacity live venue, right in the heart of the CBD.
Almost two years on, and The Sewing Room is still thriving. Regular visitors to the venue, Around The Sound dropped in to check out The Hardaches on 21 June to find the venue still doing what it does best – putting on live music for appreciative punters.
Being tucked away down a lane and, literally, an underground club only add to The Sewing Room’s cachet. Somehow, the venue feels like a well-kept secret, even though the healthy crowd of punters this Friday night said otherwise. Inside, the room feels small and intimate, with plenty of chill out spaces and comfy furnishings, but it’s also big enough to have ample space front of stage so that people can get up close and personal with the music they love. Top this off with friendly staff, from the front of house security to those who work the well-stocked bar, and you have a fabulous live music venue and nightclub. With an incredible array of live music events and club nights DJ, the Sewing Room has something for pretty much everyone. Check them out!
