HIDDEN TREASURES 2019
FREMANTLE, VARIOUS VENUES

Every July, the City of Fremantle turns up the heat with Hidden Treasures – a music festival spread over several venues, with rich live music rewards in every one. Around The Sound checked out week one, and caught Cecilia Brandolini at National Hotel, Sgt Hulka and Aborted Tortoise at Wyola Club (don’t let the name fool you – Aborted Tortoise sound amazing and are always so much fun to see), Trevalene and The Dashleys and Tashi Hall at the Navy Club and last but certainly not least – Dawesville Cut, Oosterbanger and Filth Wizard at the Buffalo Club.
While there were definitely more brilliant acts playing that night, it’s always hard getting to every venue and watching every band. Thanks once more to Hidden Treasures for keeping us warm during Winter. Can’t wait to see what next year’s treasures will be.
