MEGA MUSIC LAUNCHES FUNDRAISER AND INSTORE STREAMS FOR WA MUSICIANS

It’s no secret that WA’s musicians have been hit very hard by recent gig cancellations, many have seen their income virtually wiped out overnight.

In order to try and support the same musicians that have kept Mega Music in business over the last 20 years, they have launched several initiatives to try and help local musicians through these tough times.

Firstly, they have set up small stages at both their Myaree and Wangara stores and are inviting local musicians to play a short set instore which they will stream to the artists social pages. This enables artists friends/fans to purchase merchandise, CD’s, vinyl or stream additional songs, all helping to supplement some of their lost income.

Secondly, Mega Music have set up a Go Fund Me page in order to raise additional funds for our local musicians (including those who play instore).

This will be overseen by an independent accounting firm (Sorrento Strategic Music) and a panel of local industry professionals. 100% of the money raised will go back to local artists. Local artists Clay Bolger, Mike Nayer and Trevor Jalla started the instore live streams and were warmly received by their social audiences.

The fund has raised almost $3000 currently and Mega Music would like to thank everybody that’s donated or volunteered their time to play.

For further information or to apply to play instore please contact Mega Music on 08 9330 2777
