The Nukara Music Festival takes place in Geraldton on 16 and 17 March and, this year, boasts a line up featuring Hat Fitz & Cara (Qld/Nthrn Ireland), VanderAa and Perth’s very own Southern River Band.
Callum Kramer, front man of the Southern River Band gave us some idea of what to expect from their headlining performance when he said, “We go out there with our music and put smiles on faces. That’s what it’s all about and that’s what I can guarantee. If you’re into music and you want to see a live rock and roll show then, why wouldn’t you? That’s why we do it and will continue to do it. We’ve got some fire in our bellies.”
Festival Director, James Thompson said that “The festival came about from opportunities after having put a lot of bands on in Geraldton. I wanted to create a festival where you could see the performers kicking arse up close or just chill out in a beautiful natural environment. Nukara Farm is just such a beautiful environment with the ancient river red gums, kangaroos and a natural amphitheatre. And we limit numbers to 1,100 people.
“It’s about the experience as much as it is about the music.”
Nukara Music Festival features Hat Fitz & Cara, The Southern River Band, Formidable Vegetable, Blue Child Collective, Little Lord Street Band, Rollercoast and more!
