Mitchell Martin is a 21-year-old musician from Bunbury, who is now studying music in Perth at the Western Australian Academy Of Performing Arts. Since moving to Perth in 2017, he has released his debut album ‘Into The Light’, performed a regional tour of WA, performed 4 headline shows at some of Perth’s biggest live music venues; the Ellington Jazz Club, the Rosemount Hotel and the Sewing Room. Mitchell supported British India at the Shift Festival, Killing Heidi and Justice Crew at the Illuminate Night Festival, played on the main stage of the Mandurah CrabFest and placed second in the ‘Gozzy Rock’ Competition. Notably, Mitchell was also asked three times by Hit92.9 and the Fremantle Dockers to play for their quarter time shows, including being the first to perform in front of 50,000 people at the new Optus Stadium. Mitchell recently performed live on Channel 7’s Telethon 2018, where he got the opportunity to perform his original song ‘I Don’t Need You’, which has now reached over 20,000 views on YouTube. Mitchell will be performing his original music with his new backing band on the main stage at this year’s Mandurah CrabFest 2019.
