Perth Festival

Perth Festival’s contemporary music program begins this Friday, 7 February, with Briggs’ Bad Apples House Party set to bring the good times to the Festival’s Chevron Lighthouse venue.

Also joining the party will be Melbourne singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, G Flip on February 22, along with a fine selection of WA’s rising stars on the main stage and free stage at Chevron Lighthouse.

Watch out for Around The Sound’s features coming up this week on Emma Donovan and Spinifex Gum.

Rising stars join the biggest names in contemporary music on the main stage, including local talent Jamilla + MissGenius, Odette Mercy Trio, Demon Days, The Merindas, Jack Davies (duo), Soukouss Internationale, Billie Rogers and the Country Gentlemen, plus Malaysian-Australian rapper and poet Omar Musa.

The free stage, accessible for all, is brimming with unique local sounds and sonic flavours spanning psych-rock to indie-folk stylers and neo-soul diamonds. MALi JO$E, Cecilia Brandolini, Adrian Dzvuke, Shiny Joe Ryan, Selekt Few, Almond Soy, Noah Dillon, Gazey, Joan & the Giants, Haircare, The Wilds and Sensible Boys Club showcase a truly voluptuous music scene: one that never ceases to amaze and inspire.

Add to this a selection of WA’s finest vinyl lords and ladies including DJ Charlie Bucket, Blind Tiger, Chip Slut, Chicken Wing, Lucky Pete, Homopolitan DJs, Thotspyc DJs, Land of 1000 Dances that’ll keep you dancing into the wee hours.

Chevron Lighthouse is the heart of Perth Festival’s exciting new entertainment and community precinct the City of Lights, at the iconic Perth Concert Hall happening every Thursday to Sunday from 5pm. It’s your ultimate destination for a night of free music, great food and drink options along Market Alley which includes Perth’s first airstream dumpling kitchen, Bumplings Perth and Twin Beaks Burgers, to name a few.
