WA Local Music Instrument Retailers Come Together!
With the recent upheaval to local businesses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, several locally owned musical instrument stores have come together to thank the WA music community for their support during these difficult times.
As a locally owned and operated business, we’ve obviously seen the effect the numerous event cancellations has had on our local musicians.
Mega Music owner Kajen Vellupillay commented; “As a locally owned and operated business, we’ve obviously seen the effect the numerous event cancellations has had on our local musicians. We have however, been overwhelmed by the tremendous support that us and many other WA owned businesses have received from our customers during the pandemic.”
As a direct result of the impact COVID-19 has had on local venues and musicians, Mega Music took it upon themselves to launch a Go-Fund Me page to assist those most deeply affected in the WA music community. To date, the fund has distributed over $4000 to local musicians.
“I also decided to reach out to other locally owned music retail stores in order to show our appreciation of the support shown to WA businesses during what has undoubtably been one of the most challenging years for us all. We just wanted to let people know that we really appreciate their support for local businesses.” Said Mr Vellupillay.
