Melbourne artist, Laura Jean’s ‘Press Play’ tour hits Mojos Bar, Fremantle on 3 March.  Supported by Lana Rothnie and Teen Angst, this is the Perth leg of a national tour supporting the release of her album, Devotion.

Jean finished 2018 on a high note, with a triumphant Friday night slot at Meredith Music Festival in Victoria, and a November UK/Europe tour supporting none other than Courtney Barnett.

The deep, emotive pop of Devotion was one of last year's international success stories, acquiring Jean some vocal, enthusiastic fans, such as Lorde, Aldous Harding, Marlon Williams and actor Brie Larson.

Speaking about Devition, Jean said, "I wrote this album for my mum, middle sister and myself as we were at that time — eccentric, romantically-unfulfilled teens and a stressed out single mum trying to have a love life. In those times we needed to hear songs that were loving and uplifting, about the reality of intimacy, longing, romantic risk and reward."

Given the company Jean keeps these days and the critical and commercial success of Devotion, we suggest you don’t delay getting your tickets for this show.  It may just be the last opportunity Perth gets to see Laura Jean in such an intimate setting.
