SKY MACHINE BRINGS FUTURISTIC JAZZ AND SUPERHUMAN SCI-FI MULTIMEDIA TO THE SEWING ROOM

Sky Machine

A new multimedia project from Perth that blends together science fiction, digital art and jazz fusion will premiere at The Sewing Room next month with the unveiling of Sky Machine.

The project fuses elements of rock, funk, jazz and metal music with the purpose of taking the audience on a journey that explores a brand-new science fiction world populated by superhuman secret agents, artificially intelligent spaceships, covert organisations and a looming threat by an otherworldly power.

The talented musicians and artists behind Sky Machine introduce the audience to this epic sci-fi world and explore it through music and storytelling.

For their premiere show at The Sewing Room Sky Machine will feature special guests Laflametet and The Mikayla Boonstra Duo.

Laflametet is a local, seven-piece band that was born out of the mayhem of COVID-19 with members combining their love for modern jazz.

Mikayla Boonstra – acclaimed for her passionate song writing and vibrant presence – brings a vocal prowess that enriches every performance. Accompanying her is the talented Rory Shepherd, with a refreshing rich tone that showcases his ingenuity.

Together they blend effortlessly and leave behind expressive and memorable moments with each performance.

Sky Machine premieres at The Sewing Room on Friday June 18 – from 7pm to 10pm – Tickets are on sale via Moshtix – Facebook event
