Known for his part as the lead vocals and bass guitarist for one of the most iconic and influential Australian rock bands, The Church, Steve Kilbey will be gracing Perth with his mystical and surreal voice this summer live.
Kilbey will play The Sonar Room on 6 March and Lyric’s Underground on 7 March backed by Fremantle music identities Shaun Hoffman, Adrian Hoffmann, Shaun Corlson and Anna Sarcich on viola, as he delves into his unrivalled back catalogue of solo releases including album Sydney Rococo. collaborations and Church classics.

Kilbey’s solo career and collaborations with some of music’s finest have treated fans to an incomparable compilation of material. Collaborators include the late Grant McLennan of The Go-Betweens, The Underground Lovers’ Glenn Bennie, Martin Kennedy and most recently Gareth Koch.
Kilbey also will appear at The Comedy Lounge on 4 March, playing his timeless Aussie classics solo and speaking with Around The Sound‘s Andrew Thompson about his life and career.
Kilbey’s work with The Church produced some of Australia’s best known contemporary songs, including Under The Milky Way and Almost With You.
