Perth artist, Kat Wilson, makes her Fairbridge debut in 2019.  Kat spoke to Around the Sound, about what it means to play Fairbridge as an up and coming muso.

“The Fairbridge festival has created a welcoming culture for all people to celebrate music and art. I’m delighted to play the festival for the first time this year and coming off the back of recording at Sundown Studio I’m itching to share these new songs over the weekend.

“Being a local artist, I feel a sense of gratitude to the programming team for being so diverse in their line-up and supporting local as they do each year. The music at the festival is going to be incredible along with workshops being inclusive and beautiful. But what I’m stoked for is to spend time with people from all over the place who have decided to take a weekend out of their calendar to experience something. That something could mean so many things but it’s something. In a busy time, a weekend camping with mates and playing music sounds like happiness to me.”
