The Pleasure Garden
Review by Kym Redmond
Sam & Justin are ‘The Showmen’ in every sense of the word, Funny, Charismatic, Exciting & Charming,
Impressive magic to leave you wandering just how they pulled it off. With a lot of wit and a little bit of cheekiness as they pull people from the crowd to take part in their hilarious show.
Combining a disappearing mobile phone from an audience member who’s having to guess which brown bag her phone is in with a process of elimination by using a hammer to smash the contents of each bag chosen by the said contestant. Only to have it reappear in the strangest of place.
Sam pulled out all the stops on an impressive card trick as Justin was trying to escape a straight jacket on a timer to reveal a naked photo of himself if he hasn’t freed himself in time.
Finishing off with an audience member in this case a drunken ‘Barry’ to dress up in a fireman suit only to perform a strip show.
These guys had a great interactive audience who were very willing to jump up onstage & i think they gave as much back as Sam & Justin did so it made for an exciting show. After hearing about what could go wrong in audience participation magic shows i was little apprehensive and was soon hiding in the crowd hoping not to get chosen… (Phew i wasn’t)
A fantastic night with many laughs. Justin’s witty cheeky side had the audience onside from the moment he walked on stage and Sam’s intelligent charming nature made the room warm from the get go.
A must see show! Most definitely recommend! 5 Stars
